Things have slowed down here a whole lot this week. This is largely because last week we had midterms, a field trip to another city and the Palio, and this week we have...well...nothing.
After the 4th, there is very little going on.
I am giving a presentation on food tomorrow in my class of one! That should be interesting in all sorts of ways. And yesterday I met with my language partner and about five of her friends. That was a lot of fun as well. We spoke in Italian basically the whole time, and had crepes at one of the gelatto stores. That was something I never would have discovered if I had not gone with her! One of her friends likes peanut butter, so I taught her about putting peanut butter on a banana and she told me that nutella on a banana is really good. That's been about it for the last few days!
The good news is though that after Christmas comes New Years, and after the week after the Palio comes two long weekends.
This weekend: Venice.
Next weekend: Rome.
So the excitement will continue soon.
Don't think I haven't been up to anything. It's just been same old same old for a few days. Market, class, reading outside. And buying my tickets for Venice!
More to come soon.
