How do you celebrate the 4th of July in Italy?

The same way you do in America. Eat cheeseburgers.
Really good ones. The cheese might not be cheddar, but the cheese is awesome here anyway.
Oh, and you can't forget potato salad, ribs with homemade barbecue sauce, deviled eggs (I didn't get any, they were eaten too quickly!) chocolate chip cookies, and chocolate cake decorated like an American flag (my contribution).
We had an American feast, and it was delicious. It was also the first time I have not had pasta at dinner in a month. And I love pasta, but the American food was delicious.
No one here was celebrating anything (except Oca, we ran into them still parading with the Palio after our party!) but we had a very fun party in honor of America.
I know that for most of you the party is just beginning because it is not even dark out yet. Happy 4th of July! Watch some fireworks for me. That was the only thing we were missing.
