Trip to Venice

I set off for Venice Friday morning on the 10:10 bus to Florence. My train didn't leave from the station until 3:30 though, which I purposely planned so that I would have time to wander around Florence for a while. And I did wander. For 5 miles, and up a very large hill.
It was worth the climb though. I walked 3 miles from the bus station to the Piazzale Michelangelo, where there is a replica of the David, and from where you can see all of Florence. I paused along the way and on my way back to the train station to take some other pictures as well! The following are my pictures from Florence.

After wandering around so much, I needed to go to the train station to wait for my train, but I was very hungry! I planned to get something at the train station, and then I realized that my main option their was MacDonalds... I tried to go Italian style at least and get a Nocciola (hazelnut) McFlurry, but they were out of ice cream so I had to settle for the very American McChicken sandwich. I just told Flora today that I am sad that the food everyone thinks of when they think of American food is MacDonald's!
So after my McChicken sandwich I headed off for Venice.
Which I will have to describe tomorrow because it was so much fun that I am about to fall asleep right now, and am at risk of writing something either incoherent or stupid!
So look for Venice stories and photos tomorrow.
