Well, actually I am leaving for Florence in one hour, and I will leave from Florence for Venice at 3:30.
So I will update next when I am back from Venice because I am not hauling my malfunctioning laptop around two cities.
And the last few days? I watched Benvenuti al Sud at the summer outdoor theater at the fort! It was extremely funny. It's about a man from Northern Italy who works with the Italian postal service and gets transferred to Southern Italy, the stereotypes he believes and what the place is actually like- true to and not true to the stereotypes.
I was trying to think of a comparison in America, and what I have thought of so far is Sweet Home Alabama. But they aren't really that similar, and the people in the south and north of the States can understand each other. The Southern dialect is a lot different from the Northern one here, and even native speakers have a lot of trouble understanding each other.
